16 regional NOSA awards for Air Products SA
Gasworld.com reports that Air Products South Africa, a leading manufacturer and supplier of industrial gases, emerged as a winner in the 2012 Regional Awards - garnering 16 awards altogether. Last year, too, the company won a number of NOSA (National Occupational Safety Association) regional and international awards.
Safety forms one of the cornerstones of a successful business, the company says. Failure to implement safe practices in the workplace can have an extremely negative effect on productivity and profitability. Air Products prioritises health and safety as critical to its sustainability.
"We have the NOSA Integrated Five Star system implemented at all our facilities," says Sue Janse van Vuuren, Head of Safety, Health, Environment and Quality at Air Products. The company strives to integrate safe practices into all its activities, she tells Gasworld.com, adding that Air Products emphasises and reinforces "the importance of safety in our work environment."
