Top 300 Companies is hosting the first Secrets of Top Sales Professionals Conference with first-hand experience shared by some of South Africa's leading sales performers.

Sales successes of major international companies will be shared during a two-day conference to be held at Caesars Palace in Johannesburg on September 15 and 16, 2003.

"The Top 300 Companies publication is being used as the foundation and catalyst to host business related events with this conference being the first of a series of events. It gives Top 300 the opportunity to showcase the best sales professionals relevant to the SA market, to the benefit of the private business sector," says Richard Fletcher, founder of Top 300 Companies.

The conference is targeted at dynamic sales professionals, managing directors, marketing directors and business owners wanting to enhance their company's financial performance. Apart from sales secrets, delegates will also be exposed to international sales techniques, strategic sales planning and implementing of international sales and marketing "best practices". Tips on closing techniques not found in sales manuals, case study discussions, and secrets on how competitors were outperformed will form part of the two-day programme. Experts will share how to get to the top - and how to stay there.

Amongst the speakers will be one of South Africa's sales legends, Gideon du Plessis, Old Mutual's top salesperson every year for the past 21 years despite stiff competition from over 2500 brokers and 7000 agencies. Du Plessis only works 106 days a year. Avroy Shlain's top sales professional, Louisa van Aswegen, will share how she motivates 2000 entrepreneurs to sell a monthly average sales of R3 million. Louisa was the first group member to sell R20 000 worth of product, the first area distributor to sell R1 million and the first regional distributor to sell R2 million. In the last year she has increased her sales by 14%.

"Aristotle once said that the secret of success is to know something nobody else knows. This is a golden opportunity for serious business professional to find out directly from South Africa's best sales people what these sales secrets are," says Fletcher.
