NEWSWATCH: For the second time, Kanonkop cellarmaster Abrie Beeslaar was announced as Winemaker of the Year at the International Wine & Spirit Competition (IWSC) gala award ceremony held in London on Thursday, 26 November.

Kanonkop's Abrie Beeslaar announced world's top winemaker

Reports drinksfeed.com: Kanonkop was also named the South African Producer of the Year at this year's IWSC event, as well as the winner of the trophy for Best Pinotage for the Kanonkop Pinotage 2012.

South Africa also won the following varietal trophies, reports winemag.co.za:

Best Pinotage - Kanonkop 2012
Best Riesling - Paul Cluver Ferricrete 2014
Best Chardonnay - Jordan Nine Yards 2013
Best Chenin Blanc - Ken Forrester The FMC 2013
