APEX on the lookout for effective marketing

If your marketing communications campaign has contributed to bottom-line business success, then it's time to enter the APEX 2006 awards, according to the Association for Communication and Advertising (ACA).

ACA chairperson Maserame Mouyeme says APEX is the marketing communication award with the key objective of demonstrating how effective marketing communication contributes to bottom-line business success: "APEX is about greater accountability. The awards focus on systematically providing evidence of marketing communications effectiveness. APEX is very much a marketing communications award, not only an advertising award.

"By recognising excellence and effectiveness together the ACA hopes to further enhance the local industry, ensuring we remain world-class in our marketing approach and delivery."

APEX places a high premium on strategic and creative effectiveness achieved by the South African advertising industry, further enhancing the belief that effectiveness should go hand-in-hand with creativity, supporting the industry philosophy of 'campaigns that work'.

"We strongly encourage the advertising and marketing industries to participate in APEX, particularly in view of the need to provide clients with value-for-money, in an environment which is increasingly tough for both agencies and clients. One in which payment by results is becoming a worldwide trend," says Mouyeme.
