Convergence comes to advertising: behp opens in Cape Town

Most agencies began as creative hot shops that needed to bolt on strategy and Internet technology. behp (Boonzaier, Elcott, Housdon & Peimer) is an exception - this new Cape Town full service agency is the result of convergence between strategy, technical expertise and creativity. The outcome is a turnkey solution that's different - it works.

Sid Peimer has a somewhat uncanny skill for deconstructing the brief into a strategy that more than captures its fair share of market. He has a science/business background (a pharmacist and MBA) with experience as an award-winning copywriter - a potent combination for telling highly effective brand stories.

The strategy is then translated into a creative platform, ensuring that the communication solutions are truly 'on brief'. Shayna Elcott oversees this process in her role as Client Service Director. Shayna is qualified in both art direction and copy, which ensures that clients get something more than 'met objectives' - they get solutions that delight - on time and within budget.

Bryan is the chief wizard. Besides being a designer of exceptional standing, he is Silicon Valley-trained (at SGI), ensuring that behp clients receive all the advantages that new media can provide. When not producing creative, he can be found racing his radio-control car up the infinity curve of behp's photographic studio (the agency offers photography in-house).

Rob Housdon, in addition to his duties as Financial Director, is also a highly skilled facilitator with a unique ability to help clients create a strategic vision.

Some of behp's current clients include: Imperial Bank Medical Finance, Meerhof, Healthshare, IFI, Visec and Ile de Chocolat.

behp has been assigned a 100% BEE recognition as a Level 4 Contributor.
