Net#work 'fingers' Gold Lion
The Cannes Lions advertising festival has just kicked off and South Africa's Net#work BBDO has already won a Gold Lion for its Simba Ghost Pops in-store trolley campaign and a silver and a bronze Lion for the 5FM Lonely Finger campaign.
Ghost Pops won in the 'best use of merchandise marketing instore' category and according to Net#work TV Producer Caroline Switala, a judge commented that this work is ground breaking and they had never seen anything like it.
Speaking from Cannes, Switala says the South African work really compares favourably to the international work.
Net#work is also on the shortlist of finalists for the Cyber Lions for its Virgin Atlantic Frequent Flyer Programme campaign, entitled "Give yourself a break". Cyber Lion winners will be announced on Thursday, 22 June 2006.
