The Premier joins a stellar line-up of bespoke speakers who will be addressing the conference, including the Minister and Deputy Minister of the Department of Trade & Industry and four international manufacturing speakers. Lively debate will be the order of the day in the high-profile sessions and workshops, shaping the next decade of manufacturing for South Africa.
With a gross domestic product (GDP) valued at R811bn (US $112bn), the Gauteng Province generates 33.9% of South Africa's GDP and an astonishing 10% of the total GDP of the entire African continent. Gauteng dominates the South African economy in every major sector except agriculture, mining and quarrying.*

As the head of the economic hub of South Africa, his participation aligns with the Province's plans to structure and shape the Province into five "development corridors" that will reconfigure the Gauteng City Region to effectively address unemployment, poverty and inequality.
