Facebook phone from Vodacom

A 'feature phone' that automatically connects to Facebook and that is dedicated to social networking and costs R749 has been launched by Vodacom according to an article published by Business Day.

Facebook phone from Vodacom

It says the phone is the first Facebook-centric device being offered to prepaid customers. Known as the Vodafone 555 Blue, the device was developed in partnership with Vodacom's parent company, Vodafone and Facebook.

Business Day says the phone will accelerate data usage in South Africa and increase data revenue for Vodacom.
