Massive marketing platform for Joburg's wine show

This year exhibitors at The Wine Show Jo'burg can benefit from an aggressive marketing campaign created by the organisers of the event. A substantial investment has been made to target an audience of approximately five million Gauteng consumers during the run-up to the show.

According to event organiser John Woodward, this investment aims to bring wine to the streets of Gauteng through a high impact through-the-line advertising and promotions campaign. "We have concentrated our line of attack on strategic placements in key newspapers and radio stations with a combined audience of over 3,4-million listeners and readers, which will be supplemented by a strong outdoor positioning through posters and billboards in high traffic areas, which see more than 1,6-million passing cars on a daily basis. In addition, we have also built crucial media partnerships to ensure that our exhibitors benefit from exposure in key upcountry markets," says Woodward. He believes that the campaign 'guarantees' that exhibitors will have access to potential show visitors even before the three-day event kicks off on Friday 29 May.

The event will be hosted at the Gallagher Convention Centre Midrand from 29-31 May. The 2008 edition of this fun, educational and interactive event drew more than 8000 visitors over one weekend and generated sales in excess of R2 million. With only a limited number of stands still available, organisers are urging potential exhibitors to book now to capitalise on this opportunity to capture the lucrative Gauteng market.

Tickets are available at the door for R95 per person or from Computicket for R90 per person. Weekend passes are available at R140/person. Secure parking available. For more information, visit www.wineshow.co.za. Show times: 5pm to 9pm on Friday, 12pm to 9pm on Saturday and 12pm to 6pm on Sunday.
