Pipe Trades Media Group acquires Mining and Travelling Exhibitions

Travelling Exhibitions has been in existence since 1993 under the directorship of Tony Wightman. Tony will continue with the company for the next two years.

MTE takes exhibitors to the mines - gold, platinum, coal, etc - and the mines have tremendous "buy in" with the exhibitions by supporting the event with their own stands that show their social responsibility.

"We have great ideas to expand this concept to other areas and in other sectors," said Macnamara, as Southern Africa covers a wide area and by taking the shows to the people reach more decision makers that cannot otherwise visit the traditional shows."

All in all, 27 exhibitions have been planned for 2005.
