Heineken adds to brew

Artist's impression of the new Heineken brewery.

Heineken director for business and legal affairs Peralt van der Merwe said the company was negotiating with a major corporation to build the barley malting plant.

The initial budget for the brewery was set at R7 billion.

The brewery should be completed by November and will provide 225 new jobs.
