Saatchi & Saatchi goes the distance for Peugeot

Saatchi & Saatchi has created an ingenious billboard ad to promote Peugeot's fuel-efficient 206, 2.0 Hdi. Playing on long-distance drivers' frustration at having to stop every few hours to re-fuel and for restroom breaks, the concept is smart but simple enough to catch the attention of motorists as they drive past the billboards.

The ad depicts a little boy desperately needing the bathroom, with a look of absolute anxiety on his face. "We have captured a look on his face that every parent can relate to and every adult can empathise with," says Rajesh Ranchod, Creative Director for Saatchi & Saatchi. "The message is simple - the 700km range of the Peugeot 206, 2.0 Hdi fuel tank has reduced the need for 'pit-stops'."
 
The creative team behind these ads were copywriter, Jason Kempen and art director, Paul Sanders.
