Rape of journalist condemned

"We sympathise with Elmarie's view that the justice system has failed her and urge that the powers that be take strong note of this and take firm action to ensure there is no repetition. Our hearts go out to Elmarie and her family at this trying time in their lives.

The case against Elmarie's alleged rapist will come before the court on June 30 at the Wynberg Sexual Offenses Court.
