The Unlimited subsidiary Primedia Lifestyle's marketing team has generated in excess of R61 million in publicity for the centre through its massive shopper events over the past year. These include the annual Durban July pre-race experience, the Gateway to Fame talent search, the Justin Bieber G'evolution Teen Club and the Living the Dream holiday campaign in December.
Doug Mayne, Lifestyle's deputy MD says, "As a top priority, we gear our marketing strategies in line with the shopper psyche with an understanding of their interests and needs. Through this approach we understand how to engage the youth and families and keep them coming back. We're thrilled that our marketing solutions have contributed to the centre being nominated as the best in the industry."
The soon to be launched Gateway Hotel will add to the mall's attractions.
