Lend your hands on Women's Day
Corporate South African will also be given the opportunity to make a difference for women and children. SABC and Nedbank are challenging all companies to get involved and support this initiative by providing in kind sponsorship, donations of cash or purchasing "Heart Tags".
"There are three ways to show your hands and show your heart to benefit women and children charities this Women's Day," say event organisers Figjam Marketing.
"Donate a few hours by volunteering your hands at a local charity and helping them with their needs. Over 50 national charities have been selected and their needs for volunteers include storytelling, painting, gardening, plumbing, erecting outdoor play areas and many more.
"Alternatively, visit any Nedbank Branch from 1 July and donate items that can be used in local charities including gardening tools, wheelbarrows, books, clothing, blankets, toys, non-perishable food items and any second hand goods you have lying around.
"The third way you can show your support is to simply purchase a unique "Heart Tag" at any Nedbank branch. We believe that South Africans as a nation are generous, caring, willing and kind-hearted and if you provide simple ways for people to help and get involved in the community, people will show us."
