Markex introduces ‘trade only' section
For the first time, Markex World of Events 2010, 24-26 August 2010, will feature a ‘trade only' section in Hall 1 at Sandton Convention Centre, giving trade buyers the opportunity to view and source products and services in a less public area, offering more personalised, one-on-one interaction.
The trade-only section will also feature an exclusive coffee shop.
Another first, the Speakers Inc Showcase will feature an interactive village area with a targeted selection of top speakers providing information on their areas of expertise, presentation topics and services. The offerings will feature videos of them in action. “We're very excited to offer a new attraction that will give event organisers a one-stop-shop for sourcing MCs, guest presenters and motivational speakers,” says Lynn Chamier, exhibition director.
Another new addition to the show is The Loerie Awards Travelling Exhibition, an annual road show that visits agencies, festivals and institutions around the country and abroad, displaying the winners of last year's Loeries. Visitors will get the opportunity to view this award-winning work, giving up-and-coming creatives plenty of inspiration.
Improving on 2009
The AdVantage Advertising Village will be returning to feature a dedicated interactive area where advertising agencies will visually display all aspects of advertising and branding to the marketplace with open exhibition stands. Visitors can network and gain valuable business contacts in the meeting area with casual seating and wine bar and dedicated presentation corner.
In 2009, 309 exhibitors showcased their goods and services to 10 861 visitors, 85% of whom either made or intend making a purchasing decision and 98% of whom said they would visit again in 2010. With a show that has been enhanced even further to ensure even greater appeal and quality attendance figures, and a more buoyant economy, it is likely that this year's show will attract record numbers of visitors.
“Thousands of marketers flock to this definitive exhibition every year to stock up on ideas, concepts, inspirations and contacts for the year ahead. It continues to grow year on year and has consistently attracted record amounts of quality visitors and exhibitors,” concludes Chamier.
