Magazine updates its look

House and Leisure is moving confidently into 2009 with an updated look, bigger format and the addition of a February issue. The new pay-off line, ‘Stylish SA at home and play', reflects the magazine's subtle makeover and aims to reinforce its claim to be the authority on South African décor, design and style.

“We are strengthening our position as a premium local brand,” says Lianne Burton, the magazine's editor. “The bigger pages allow us to make the most of our enticing shopping, homes and travel and food features, while also giving us greater shelf impact on the newsstand. To top it, we are increasing the number of issues per year to 12, giving readers and advertisers more of what they love.”

“We appeal to pleasure-seekers who are proud to call South Africa home. They are affluent, adventurous and discerning, and they look to us to keep them in the know. Our new pay-off line is in line with this spirit, and I am confident that our readers will respond well to the changes we've made,” concludes Burton.

The January issue of House and Leisure magazine is available at leading bookstores and retailers now.
