Catch Chu on THE BOX

THE BOX is a portrait series that runs with an interview, released every fortnight over the span of 183 days. THE BOX gives the viewer a glimpse into the lives of 12 individuals and exposes them by allowing our gaze to shift expectations and the paradigm of social status.

The second of the series places the spotlight on Chu Suwannapha, who is a former fashion designer and now editor of You/Huisgenoot and Drum magazine. It's just about impossible to miss him on his casual walk to work every day, and in the series this humble man speaks about the ostentatious fashion industry in Cape Town and where digital is taking us.
