“It has taken blood, sweat and tears to make this album happen and not once did the thought of giving up cross my mind.” says Jennings, who is known off-stage as Eduan van Jaarsfeld. The album features seven full tracks including the classic ballads ‘Celeste and Nubian Princess.'

If you haven't yet heard the story of Cliff Jennings here is a summary of the budding artist's rise to fame.

Unbeknown to the judges, Colin Moss or the camera crew of Idols, the advertising agency Ogilvy Johannesburg filmed two minute snippets of Jennings' journey through auditions in each city, an original song and a music video for his love ballad “Celeste, Celeste”, filmed on a shoe-string budget and composed by the agency.

In addition, the agency created ‘personal pages' on Facebook and MySpace, which were updated by Jennings under the guidance of the agency.

It took no time at all for the public to embrace Jennings. He began generating huge interest and cult celebrity status. He reached an alleged South African record 4000 friends on Facebook. His videos have over 9000 hits on Myspace and a total of 15 000 views on Youtube. There are over 50 blogs that profile his story generating endless debate. If you use Google to search on his name, you'll find over 300 results.
