CDF's best ads for November 2002
The best ads that appeared in November, as voted by the Creative Directors Forum.
Comments by Gerry Human (Chairperson) for November 2002 judging:
Just 2 weeks to Christmas and we managed to assemble a quality panel, who committed to the work they liked.
NEWSPAPER
Although a clear winner emerged, the category was pretty dull. Second place doesn't make to Ad of the Year.
MAGAZINE
Some strong work and some turgid. Good to see some tactically relevant ideas. Debate resulted in 2nd place being overturned.
OUTDOOR
No traditional Outdoor entries and some overused ideas. Winner and 2nd place, however, were crisp and powerful.
RADIO
Lots of formulaic ideas beaten by a clever, well-produced campaign for Metropolitan life.
TELEVISION
At last some attitude!! Groovy winner, recognised for pushing boundaries and defying rules. First 3 go through to Ad of the Year.
Herewith the results of the judging of the November 2002 entries. Congratulations to all concerned.
