Extended deadline for NFVF workshops

The invitation to attend the NFVF's (National Film & Video Foundation) Sediba International Financing Programme for Producers, scheduled for April, received so many requests to extend the deadline by potential candidates that the foundation has rescheduled its workshops to July 2010 and the deadline to enter to 30 April 2010.

Candidates for both Emerging and Advanced programmes have to have completed a feature film script that is most likely to have international appeal. The programme is 90% funded by the National Film & Video Foundation and the requested 10% is the producers' investment towards their career.

Workshop Details

Sediba International Financing Programme for Emerging Producers, 19 - 20 July 2010, at a cost of R1000 per person (payment due upon acceptance)

Sediba Advanced International Financing Programme for Experienced Producers 21 - 23 July 2010, at a cost of R10 000 per person - payable in 6 instalments

Subsequent workshops for both programmes will be held in September and November 2010. Applicants on the Advanced Programme should note that they would then be eligible to apply to the Film London Production finance market in 2011.
