The overnight data is being supplied to enable television media owners and other interested stakeholders to monitor the important programming changes that are taking place this month, in particular the move of the 8 o'clock news on SABC 3 to 7 o'clock and the effect that this will have on television audiences of not only SABC 3, but all other channels. The data will be available for the whole of April and is supplied on a daily
basis in the form of an Excel spreadsheet to enable users to see things such as audience profiles and ¼ hour ratings amongst others. However, users will not be able to use the data to do media planning.
SAARF believes that interested parties will find the information of great interest and use and that it will assist them in their complex decision making tasks.
