Captain Cash named
The Engen competition, Captain Cash, which ran from 1 October to 31 December 2009 had over 3 million entries and handed out total prize money for the promotion of R1,020,000.

The R100,000 grand prizewinner was Grant Garth Langenhoven from Pretoria, who received his cheque in an official handover at Engen Hadaf East Service Station on DF Malan Drive in Pretoria from Hennie Fourie, Engen Hadaf East dealer and Cassim Pandor, Engen Convenience sales & marketing manager. There were also daily prizes of R10,000 a day that were given away over 92 days.
The competition ran at all participating Engen Quick Shops nationwide as well as online at www.thebackpage.co.za where another R12,000 was given away over the 12-week period.
