Ballyhoo Media to relaunch Dossier magazine

Ballyhoo Media has announced that it will be relaunching high-end fashion magazine Dossier, which is edited by photographer Mia Ziervogel. The title is described as a "beautifully crafted, high-end fashion magazine showcasing the best of local creative talents from photographers, designers, writers and makeup artists".

Ziervogel has come on board as creative editor at Ballyhoo and will collaborate with the media house in relaunching Dossier and publishing it as part of the Ballyhoo Media magazine stable, which includes Joburg Style, Nubian Bride and Progressive Leader.

The editorial focus of Dossier is cutting-edge content, with particular focus on the luxury brands, hot-off-the-catwalk fashion, local cultural figures and travel destinations with visual excellence in photography and design.

Ziervogel has more than 25 years' experience as a commercial photographer and has shot campaigns for just about every big brand, from McDonalds to Mercedes. While she grew up in advertising with creative giants such as Renee Silverstone and Keith Shipley, and enjoyed a lengthy foray into advertising as creative director, magazine ink runs thick in her veins: magazines have always been her first love, and a lifelong dream saw the light when Dossier hit the shelves in 2007.

Two editions are published annually, winter and summer, available on shelf in June and November respectively.

Also joining Ballyhoo Media is photojournalist Dion Viljoen, who has more than 20 years' experience in the media industry.
