Designtimes goes digital

The Designtimes has launched a digital version of its publication, as a creative resource. Editor, Mark Rosenberg, says the addition of a digital element was inevitable for the publication, in a world where almost everything is going digital...

"We have been experimenting with digital versions for over a year, looking at various options and platforms. We finally settled on a platform on which users will be able to access the content most easily, without having to download additional readers, apps or subscriptions."

He adds that the digital version will enable the publication to broaden its audience and readership. "As we go on, we will integrate video, audio and animation into the mix - the possibilities are almost endless in the digital space."

He is excited about the prospect of not being limited to static image and text, or being limited in terms of what can fit on a standard print page. "We are looking forward to seeing how far we can push this new platform for the benefit of our readers, who are increasingly demanding not only inspirational content, but a way of consuming the material that is equally inspirational and engaging.

"We can now facilitate for full analytics and video advertising, as well as advertising that is able to interact with the content."

The digital version, which was developed in partnership with Future Media Group, can be accessed at mag.designtimes.co.za.
