Inspiration for your home at the Vaal Homemakers Expo

Homemakers Expo returns to the Vaal Triangle this week with the second Vaal Homemakers Expo to be presented at the Sport and Events Centre at Emerald Casino Resort from 26 to 29 July. This year's show promises to be a bumper show, accommodating all the home lifestyle needs of homeowners in the region.

The theme of the 2007 show is ‘Looking for Inspiration' with over 170 stands who will exemplify this in their conceptual stand design and presentation of their products. Homeowners are always looking for the latest innovative ideas and products for their homes and with the variety set to be on display at the Vaal Homemakers Expo they will find everything they need for their home, all under one roof.

Developments in the Vaal Triangle

The Vaal Triangle is one of the fastest growing areas in South Africa, moving from an industrial town to an economic hub as well as a prestigious place to live. There is a trend towards people commuting to work in Johannesburg, Pretoria and the surrounds while living in upmarket estates and stunning houses in the Vaal Triangle area. Because of this phenomenal growth, the area is set to get a boost from two new developments in the region.

The latest development to be unveiled is Harbour Town, a R400 million residential and marina estate on the Gauteng shore of the Vaal Dam which is being developed by the Accolade group. This development will be positioned between Port O' Call and Marina Letata.

The second major project in the area was the construction of a R400 million regional mall in the Vaal Triangle which began last year. Situated on Barrage Road, Vanderbijlpark, near the central business district, Vaal Mall is expected to offset retail shortcomings in the area, which developers say have resulted in about R300 million of the local spend moving to other areas. The 45 000m² mall was developed by Kagiso Property Holdings, Flanagan & Gerard Property Consultants and Urban Land Marketing.

With the amount of capital investors are spending in the area, the Vaal Triangle is becoming one of the premier regions to live in Gauteng. With this, the spending potential of the residents is huge, with renovation projects being continuously undertaken as well as new residential and commercial property developments constantly underway, the region is still more than receptive to a home lifestyle show such as the Vaal Homemakers Expo.

The Vaal Homemakers Expo

Growing from strength to strength, the Vaal Homemakers Expo promises not to disappoint exhibitors' and visitors' expectations.

The 2006 Vaal Homemakers Expo enjoyed in excess of 12 000 visitors over the four days, and with a brand new marketing campaign in the pipeline, 2007 is set to be just as, if not more successful.
