2009 Spectrums reward shopping centres excellence
All the finalists' work was of high standard, prompting many to wish that they all won, but, as the judges' decision is always final and uncontested, the winners scooped the ultimate prizes and went home happy.
The retail industry's prizes were up for grabs across all disciplines in four categories: retailer, service provider, design, and development and marketing.
“We are committed to raise the standards of the industry and these awards are the ultimate reward of excellence,” SACSC president Sisa Ngebulana said.
“The standard of entries received across the categories for 2009 was extremely high and the number of awards received reflects the enthusiasm of a vibrant and growing industry,” SACSC general manager Amanda Stops said.
The finalists are judged on a national level resulting in the ultimate winners in each category to receive their awards.
The organisers also said regional winners of the Retail Design and Development (RDD) Awards competed against each other for the ultimate national recognition.
SACSC said these awards celebrate exceptional creative distinction and brilliance within the design and development industry.
