Bust by Belinda

Visiting chart-topper Belinda Carlisle took over the afternoon show on Jacaranda 94.2 on Friday 19 August as part of the launch of their radio programming initiative. Carlisle turned the tables on afternoon presenter Maurice Carpede by 'busting' him - the DJ is well known for his daily busts on station listeners.

Carlisle took over Carpede's show and drove the content in that hour - playing music of her choice and taking calls from listeners.

This was the first of a series of take overs which Jacaranda will be doing, says Jacaranda 94.2 program manager Lloyd Madurai: "We will be looking at giving both local and international celebrities/personalities the opportunity to control the dials.

"The station is fun, flexible and dynamic and we are grateful that Belinda Carlisle played along with us in embodying that energy for our listeners and advertising partners."
