Motsweding FM freshens up brand

The recent lineup changes at Motsweding FM, an adult contemporary vernacular station broadcasting to seTswana-speaking audiences within North West, Gauteng, Northern Cape and Free State provinces, are part of the move to bring a contemporary edge to a brand previously described as an aging icon.
The station, which targets LSM 5 - 8 and ages 25 - 49 in metropolitan and rural communities, provides a mix of news, music (including jazz, R&B, kwaito, house, hip-hop, gospel and world music), current affairs, talk shows, education, sport, weather and traffic. The station has an average of 2.9 million listeners and SeTswana will remain the main differentiator of the station.

Says Ben M Dikobe, Motsweding FM's station manager, “We believe that with our new lineup and strategic content changes, we will continue to entertain our listeners while remaining true to our mandate as a public broadcaster seeking to inform and educate our listeners through cutting edge radio concepts.”

While the lineup has not changed dramatically, there are two presenters who have been moved from their weekend slots to the already successful weekday lineup:

Diphetogo fale le fale-
There is this other guy ko Motsweding, his name is Brian Letsogo;I think he is not the kind of guy that one would give a breakfast slot ya lamatlhatso because he is so slow yet he plays music beyond his pace.I hope the station manager would revisit the placing of this guy.Otherwise dilo di malala a laotswe so far.

I think Motsweding Fm should start creating jobs for our people, me also included.Looking at Motsweding as a Big station in south Africa this will be a good example to other stations and also Companies will follow you. Mr Ben Dikobe start to think about this it is indeed good oppurtunity to grab. For you also to grow as a Station.

Motsweding FM Chris & Madala-
To All the disk Jokeys tsa Motsweding and those who wanna hear. I've read mostof the comments but mostly and particular once about Chris Matshaba. Firstly, i would like to say: I haven't been a good listner of the show. I was introduced to the satationa at a young age ko Rusti. This was the only time i could listen to the show and it was ok but now that i'm back i think the staion has really transformed into something out of this world. So to the sation manager, you've done well and keep up the good work bro!! Seconldy, there is a saying that goes:if udon't have something nice to say, then don't say nothing at all. Although it is gud for business to know where your lacking and more. Business has it's up's and down's, same goes to Motsweding. And every show has it's own age group target. Now Chris le Madala are very good at what they do, and so it goes for all the other DJ's. But tshaba foo is focusing at those that are YOUNG at age and YOUNG at HEART. I disliked YFM for their kind of music but Chris le Madala plays something similar with style and intergrity. They really know how to keep listners wanting more. So Madala le Chris, keep your heads UP high and focus. I really love the show. And as selfish as i may sound, you guys are not allowed to go on leave even when your sick. Heita Daar Tso from Ndofaya.

Itumeleng Morapedi
Guys I know this is quite an old post. I'm in need of someone who can organise a copy of Mahoko's jokes for me. This may be an odd request but I am referring to a show that Douglas Mosadi used to host with Mahoko. If there's anyone who can assist, I'll be very grateful.
