"The red frisbees are also representative of its distinguishable logo. One of the scenes is shot at the Johannesburg train station among millions of commuters - so making this ad was quite hectic."
Professional local and international frisbee throwers and traceurs were used to create the fast-paced, liquid flow of the onward movement. Three cameras were used to capture every single throw, which meant very little was done in post production. Red frisbees flew everywhere and the Johannesburg CBD was littered with them after the new Cell C television shoot.
Says Simon Camerer, Cell C's marketing head, "The ad encapsulates our rainbow nation and the frisbees work well to show how Cell C is playing a significant role in 'connecting' cell phone users across all spectrums. We love the ad."
