Aigner parodies scam Loeries entries

"Every year, just before the organisers close entries to the Loerie Awards, a flurry of advertisers seek cheap media space to flight prospective award-winning campaigns and qualify for the rules. More often than not, the client's saving grace is a 2.30am spot on an irrelevant community radio station." This is according to Brad Aigner, MD of Universal McCann, who has released a parody on Bizcommunity.com for finding the cheapest available media to place these spurious entries.

"And media agencies use their influence to aid their clients," adds Aigner. "Ordinarily, there is nothing wrong with these media but the medium must fit the message!"

"Hurry, Hurry, Hurry, only hundreds of midnight radio spots left," and "Free SA Charities Guide with every ad placed," and "This could have been your award-winning ad" are examples from the current campaign, which you can view by clicking here.

A similar message, in the form of a movie clip, is being sent via viral campaign to all creative agencies throughout the country.
