    Take your Clicks ClubCard shopping

Clicks ClubCard, celebrating its tenth year of operation, has launched a Clicks ClubCard Credit Card backed by Visa. One of the biggest and most widely used retail loyalty programmes in the South Africa, the new card works on a points-for-cash-back principle, where members accumulate points every time they make a purchase.

"We don't see the Clicks ClubCard Credit Card as just another credit card amongst the mass of new cards being thrown into the consumer market mix. Our member base is well-established and the Clicks ClubCard has already set itself apart as one of South Africa's leading retail loyalty programmes," says Mike Harvey, MD of Clicks.

"Recent research into our database has indicated that 40% of our members have shown interest in a credit payment option in the past six months," Harvey continues.

    Tangible rewards

ClubCard members will earn double points when using their Clicks ClubCard Credit Card for any purchases made at Clicks stores and ClubCard points for all other purchases. These points are then redeemable using the usual Clicks ClubCard cash-back vouchers.

The Clicks Credit Card offers tangible rewards and doesn't require a massive spend in order to get something back. Having worked on a policy of achievable rewards, Clicks sees no reason to alter what has proven to be a winning strategy.

"The Clicks ClubCard loyalty programme is seen as one of the most reliable and trusted in South Africa by the consumer market. It is a name that has a strong value proposition and members associate it with good quality and customer relations. From a consumer perspective, research has shown that our loyalty programme is easy to use, making it an attractive way of earning rewards," says Harvey.

    Consumer education

Clicks understands that women today are hungry for financial information and this is why Clicks ClubCard is offering their members a chance to win one-on-one financial education seminars with a finance 'guru' so as to address any concerns and issues members might have. Topics such as consolidating credit to save money on interest fees, the differences between debt and credit, bank charges and even playing the stock market will all be dealt with in these sessions.

Clicks ClubCard Credit Card is offering an additional payment option that brings with it the benefits its members know and have come to expect - all of this without any additional administrative hassle such as opening new bank accounts or transferring of existing accounts.

"Today's market is completely consumer driven, rather than product driven, and it makes sense to educate the consumer as well as offer good quality products and affordable prices," concludes Harvey.
