Whatever you post on social networks, stays on Google forever

Social media sites such as Facebook, YouTube, Twitter, and LinkedIn are integrated into the lives of billions of people (roughly 1.6 billion).

Many of those people could be potential employees, employers, customers, suppliers, and partners for your business. Social media platforms provide an open forum in which everyone is invited to collaborate and share ideas, experiences and interests.

Many have become victims of losing a good reputation on such platforms; such has been the result of posting too much personal and ambiguous information on social networks. We need to understand that whatever we post on social networks will stay on Google forever.

Whatever you post on social networks, stays on Google forever

Since employers and recruitment agencies "Google" us before we get employed, we should refrain from posting things that will tarnish our personal brands and reputation. Our language on social networks should be constructive not degrading or cursing.

Pictures speak better than a written word, more particularly the background, it says a mouthful. Most people are tempted to take pictures or selfies at parties and festivals with alcohol beverages around them and other things that could make your potential employer to have a negative perception about you.

Let's strive to post clean pictures that will not harm our reputation or careers.

Nowadays most people are desperate to be famous on twitter, in such a way that they pick-up unnecessary fights to gain popularity amongst their peers. Never allow such people to push you away from your lane of focus and positivity. You are not obliged to reply to a negative tweet that seeks to make you a laughing stock or an embarrassment. A wise man always pursues peace and wisdom not fights.
