Takalani Sesame for parents

Sanlam is funding workshops in Johannesburg and Pretoria for parents who will be invited via local early childhood centres to interactive training sessions provided by skilled trainers. At the workshops parents are trained to utilise Takalani Sesame radio, television and print resources as educational tools to promote pro-social living and lifelong learning.

The next workshops will take place in Daveyton on 17 September, Orlando West Soweto on 1 October and Lenasia on 12 November.

SABC Education prepares the trainers and child minders and provides the training content materials. Parents leave with the knowledge of how to use Takalani Sesame as a powerful educational tool and how to make learning fun for children.
