Discovery Health supports NHI

IOL quotes Discovery's chief executive Jonathan Broomberg as saying the company strongly supports the NHI framework and policy paper and is committed to helping the government achieve quality healthcare for all.

He says Discovery Health supports the increase in per capita expenditure on health services, primary healthcare and the quality, effectiveness and accessibility of primary health services.

IOL says the Green Paper issued by the Department of Health estimates initial costs at R125-billion rising progressively to R225 billion by 2025.
