Pick n Pay asap!, the retailer's on-demand delivery service, is tapping into the fanfare surrounding the recent release of Season 2 of TV series Bridgerton on Netflix.

Taking on the Regency-era British English associated with the show, Pick n Pay said in a statement, "Lady Whistledown has it on good authority that something great is hopping to the PnP asap! app in April… With all the talk of Season 2 of Bridgerton, I cordially invite you to promenade through the PnP asap! app and cast an eye on all things delectable in the new 'High Tea, High Drama' occasion.

"The occasion on the app was created for PnP’s dearest shoppers to impress their guests. The occasion aims to help shoppers invite friends for tea – a popular part of the latest season, toast to the latest season, or plan a banquet affair."

Within the 'High Tea, High Drama' shopping theme on the Pick n Pay asap! mobile app are product sub-categories including 'An Invitation to Tea', 'Shall We Toast', 'Banquet Binging', 'Good for the Nerves' and 'Newtons Treats' - the latter referencing Kate Sharma's corgi, arguably one of this season's most popular characters.

The app also prompts shoppers to share their high tea celebrations on social media with the hashtag #DearLadyRosmead. "Pose in jest, and do share with the rest by using #DearLadyRosmead and tagging @picknpayasap," the app states.
