Two full-page print ads resemble those targeted at consumers in the market for houses or cars. One is placed in property guides, and contains hospitals and clinics for sale, the other in motoring magazines, selling ambulances.
The creative team used catch phrases synonymous with these sections of magazines and newspapers, such as 'location, location, location', 'set in picturesque surrounds', 'in a class of its own' and 'what are you waiting for' for the clinics. Descriptions such as 'well maintained, 'finance available' and 'serious buyers only' were used for the ambulances. The payoff line reads, 'Without blood there's nothing more we can do. Please, Donate.'
"We are very pleased at the result of the Ambulance and Hospital print ads for the SANBS," says Rajesh Ranchod, Creative Director for Saatchi & Saatchi. "We had these ads carefully placed in sections of the media you would not have expected to find them in, making an even greater impact than usual. The ads are hard-hitting and fast becoming conversational topics."
The creative team for this commercial was Copywriter, James Weymouth and Art Director, Alison Stanfield.
