More bang for your ad buck
Combining a bespoke and speculative voucher distribution application and built in SQL database management with preprinted paper rolls, this medium is able to differentiate between airtime and electricity customers by value of tender and tailor-make the dynamic message to a specific segment determined by their spending patterns.
The airtime and electricity voucher is printed with an advertising message at the bottom of the front of the voucher. It carries a suitable amount of information on the product with the product logo and content pre-printed on the back of the voucher. The medium is available in both black and white and full colour options to advertisers. Most recently African Bank used Wiredloop Media to launch a micro loan promotion aimed at the Christmas buying season for instant and affordable loans available via the cellphone. African Bank recognised the value being offered by Wiredloop Media where almost all the customers of Wiredloop buy prepaid top-up products to top up their cellphone or electricity accounts. It was imperative for African Bank that the promotional message catches the user while in the process of topping up their cellphone with airtime making it seamless for them to respond to the offer.
Wiredloop Media was borne out of the realisation that previously disadvantaged segments of the South African consumer market have less opportunity to interact with the traditional advertising media as a direct consequence of non-affordability and non access. Further, the desired return on investment for the advertiser utilising traditional media to reach this market was not always satisfactory given the limited OTS (Opportunity-To-See). To this end Wiredloop Media innovated further by packaging a pay-per-view type of billing system which bills the advertiser per voucher printed over the promotional period. The information is captured on-line per transaction processed and is available to the advertiser in real-time so at anytime during the promotional period the advertiser has complete access to information on the number of vouchers printed making it easy to monitor reach vs response and ad spend.
The Wiredloop Media network currently prints in excess of 1 million vouchers per month and is available on short, medium and long term contracts. Short term contracts are billed at a maximum 10 cents per voucher printed with longer term contracts negotiable on the basis of fixed monthly spend over a minimum period.
