Design show wins and clever mind tricks

We kick off this week's coverage with the final winners' list from One Show 2016, which adds eight more pencils in the film and radio categories to South African agencies' stash. Click here if you missed the first award night results earlier this week.

Ann Nurock also exclusively chatted to the team from OpenCo that took home Bronze, Silver and Gold Pencils at the One Show Awards for their print and design work for client Apartheid Museum. They elaborated on the importance of telling deeper, layered stories in advertising.

Sticking with award news, I went behind the scenes with Enzo Scarcella's role as chief marketing officer for Telkom and what it means to be a non-executive director of the Loeries board, representing the marketing community as a whole.

Next, Stephen Sandmann shares his 'digital agency trends to live by in 2016 revisited', well-timed as we're almost halfway through the year and certain predictions still ring true.

Lastly, Darren Bridger looks at three neuroscience tricks behind Instagram's new logo, and how using these can get greater buy-in from consumers by tapping into their subconscious minds.
