The Loeries radio jury member and executive for brand, marketing and digital at Pick n Pay, Katherine Madley, chatted to VML Birdwatching at the Loeries with Bizcommunity on the state of retail.

Reportedly marking the first occasion in which a radio station has done a live broadcast from a working newspaper newsroom in South Africa, Talk Radio 702's presenter David O'Sullivan was invited by Kevin Ritchie, Saturday Star executive editor, to do his Friday afternoon drive show, 4pm-6pm, as a live broadcast from the newspaper's newsroom recently.

The 2011 MTN Radio Awards were held on Saturday 9 April and over 600 industry luminaries attended this gala event in Sandton. With double the number of both participants and entries across all languages, the stations' work was judged by a diverse panel of industry experts.
