Ban on ads for Schedule 2 drugs
Government has passed a law that bans the advertising of Schedule 2 drugs - drugs containing addictive substances - affecting many common cough and headache medicines such as Syndol and Vicks Medinite. The law also stipulates that the names of purchasers must now be recorded by pharmacists.
