Comutanet on the road with 2004 Vodacom Cup
To broaden the supporter base in South Africa's townships, organisers of this year's Vodacom Cup briefed ComutaNet to build rugby awareness and stimulate excitement around each match.
During the week prior to matches, ComutaNet's RoadStar concert trailers, featuring popular local artists, are prominently deployed to boost awareness and hype in communities where matches are being played. At the same time and alternating sites, Vodacom Cup branded standard trailers display the date and time of the next game.
"We're excited at the thought of taking rugby to South Africans, many of whom have never experienced the thrill of the game," says Pieter Groenewald, Deputy Managing Director, ComutaNet. "Through ComutaNet's RoadStar concert and standard trailers sponsors Vodacom will talk to the targeted communities and draw many first time spectators to watch the games.
