It's not only South African home owners who get stuck with shoddy workmanship. It happens in many other countries, but in the United States disgruntled owners are turning to technology to get their own back.
Owners of new houses who believe their builders cheated them with shoddy construction are increasingly making their gripes known online in the US. As home values decrease and home sales slow in many parts of the country, construction problems seem to have become an even bigger concern for homeowners.
The outside of Susan Sabin's house in Lenexa, Kan., is covered with lemons: lemon-shaped foam cutouts, twinkling lemon Christmas lights, and a lemon-adorned wreath on the front door.
