140 BBDO holds Twitter-based interview regarding branding

After Bizcommunity.com broke the news yesterday, Wednesday, 16 March 2011, that Net#work BBDO Cape Town had rebranded to 140 BBDO, and after all the ensuing tweets about the new name, philosophy and logo, 140 BBDO decided to hold a Twitter-based interview today, Thursday 17 March, to answer questions about its new branding.

    @140BBDO: 140 is about more then twitter, it's about getting a focused message across, irregardless of the platform.

    @140BBDO: No, we'll lead with focused ideas. :)

    @140BBDO: We see Social/Digital as a channel, the idea should define what is best placed to lead.

    @Oolex: Are you guys going to keep the huge red # outside? Or will that be removed/changed to reflect the new branding?

    @140BBDO: We'll be retiring the sign, and sending it to our brothers and sisters in Joburg.

    @raeesahv: I counted 7 semi-opaque squares in the @140BBDO logo which form 16 different shapes and colors. Why not 14 ? ;-) (correct me if I'm wrong) [Doesn't look like this was answered by the time of publishing this interview - managing ed.]

    @JoeSteyn: What changes can we expect from the digital department? Which elements will be moved in-house that were previously outsourced?
