Marketing & Media South Africa

Let's get social

It's no secret that social media is popular among B2B marketers, but here Subhash Chandra sets out to tell you why, in his opinion, social media is most popular among B2B marketers and why they are such special tools for companies in this sector.

The Protection of State Information Bill is lurking in the wings, and Anton Harber takes a look at the contentious bill and how it can be related to the controversy raging overseas, where Edward Snowden has really upset the US security agencies.

One thing is virtually certain, says Harber: No law will stop the leaking of information, and if a law can be abused, it will be. And that should make us all worry. A lot!

How green is your favourite brand? Well, Interbrand has just released its third annual Best Global Green Brands report. Find out how the brands rate.

This week's [Biz Takeouts Podcast] 63 focuses on Artifact Advertising & Hiring Bounty. Listen in and enjoy.

Samantha Koen takes a look at why digital campaign optimisation is crucial to success and how getting out of your comfort zone could be a good idea.

Finally, Sanele Mgaga says that if you want someone to understand your message, it makes good sense to speak in their language, and he reckons being able to speak a language helps gives you a deeper understanding of your target audiences' culture - and that means your message will be far more effective.
