Crime scene images shocker

Oscar Pistorius' family is said to be aghast at crime scene images posted on the Sky News website in the UK, and it's safe to say the man himself is very likely even more aghast. The next question is: how did Sky News get hold of the images, and is SAPS taking steps to find out who supplied the images?

On a lighter note, Zapiro et al can rest easy after Zuma decided to drop all of the defamation claims he distributed so generously some time back.

A war is being raged against smoking and tobacco products and Owen Dean takes a look at this and other issues in Brand Genocide. Quite frankly, as someone who has never smoked, advertising for the sector has never bothered me either way; what does irk a little, however, is the inference that somehow I - and the rest of us - need to be protected from smoking as we are largely incapable of withstanding the lure of its advertising.

It's back, and this week [Biz Takeouts Podcast] 62 looks at Heavy Chef and the IMC Conference.

Anton Harber reckons that if you want to get people thinking and debating, you have to surprise and discomfit them, you have to prod and provoke - and that got him thinking about Vuyo Mbuli's untimely death and the outpouring of appreciation for his brand of TV presentation.
