A different angle on Korea
The 2007 Korean Film Festival at Cinema Nouveau screened by Jameson will be featuring seven exclusive films from the Republic of Korea in Pretoria from this Friday, 29 June 2007 and in Cape Town from next Friday, 6 July. Primarily known for award-winning but explicit action “art” films, this festival exposes a different side of Korean cinema – very human, almost whimsical, fantastical and emotional – looking at issues ranging from parental obstacles to broader social concerns.
