Liliesleaf documentary on CNBC Africa
Premiering on CNBC Africa on Saturday, 24 July 2010, at 8pm is a three-hour three-part documentary series, Liliesleaf - The Untold Story. It captures the workings of the political underground - Nelson Mandela, who posed as a gardener, Govan Mbeki, Walter Sisulu and Ahmed Kathrada - who used the Liliesleaf Farm in Rivonia as a safe house in the 1960ss. The series has first-hand accounts of the shadowy days leading up to the raid on the farm and the subsequent Rivonia trial. It is produced in conjunction with the Liliesleaf Trust and sponsored by Telkom.
