SABC denies ‘gravy train' accusations

The SABC has noted media reports around its delegation to the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games and deny that the trip is a jaunt for SABC officials and Board members. “The SABC would therefore like to put it on record that yes, the organisation is sending a delegation to the Beijing Olympics. This delegation will consist of the SABC officials and Board members, our clients and SABC technical staff.” According to the SABC they all have a “role” to play at the games.
