New Year's Eve broadcast sets benchmark

The Huisgenoot Skouspel broadcast, a recording of its concerts held at Sun City in October 2010, attracted 250 000 viewers on the kykNET channel on New Year's Eve. Huisgenoot, You and Drum editor in chief Esmaré Weideman says, "The high quality of the production is thanks to the special effort that goes into the planning stage to ensure the shows are also TV-friendly. Besides the excellent technical quality, the show is synonymous with the best in Afrikaans music." Skouspel Plus will be staged in Cape Town in March 2011.
